Convert grad to second (astronomy)
Selected category: angle.
Definition and details for grad:
Grad (g, or gr, or grd), also called grade, gradian, or gon is a unit of angle measurement in the centesimal system, in which a right angle is divided into 100 centesimal degrees (grads). Thus one grad is equal to 1/400 of a turn. This unit is the English version of French grade and it was proposed by engineers around 1900.
Definition and details for second (astronomy):
Second (" or s or sec) is also a unit of angle measurement used in astronomy to count longitude. Astronomers divide the equator into 24 hours instead of 360 degrees and measure the right ascension, which is the longitude coordinate for positions in the sky, in units of time. This makes 1 second of longitude equal to 15 arcseconds.
