Point (pt) is also a unit of angle measurement, used in navigation and it is equal to 1/32 of a circle, or 11° 15′, or pi/16 radians. On a compass, each right angle is divided in 8 points and each point can be subdivided in 4 quarter points. So 1 turn equals to 128 quarter-points. This is a binary navigation system of units (turn,point,quarter-point).

Flat is an infromal unit of angle measure equal to the angle of the equilateral triangle (60 degrees), or one sextant (1/6 circle). For example a hex nut have 6 flat sides. So to turn the nut "one flat" is to turn it 1/6 revolution.
