This unit is common for internet service providers who offer old dial up, single or dual ISDN or low speed ADSL internet access. Kbps shouldn't confused with kibibit per second (kibps). Kbps is equal to 1000 bps (power of ten number) and kibps 1024 (power of 2 number).
