Convert **bit (b)** to **megabit (Mb)**

Selected category: bits and bytes.

Bit is the basic unit of information in computing and telecommunications. The word "bit" is an acronym for **b**inary dig**it**. Each bit records one of two possible answers to a single question: "0" or "1," "yes" or "no," "on" or "off." The symbol for bit, as a unit of information, is either "bit" (recommended by the ISO/IEC standard 80000-13 (2008)) or lowercase "b" (recommended by the IEEE 1541 Standard (2002)).

Megabit (Mbit) is a unit of information in computing and telecommunications equal to 10^{6} bits, defined by International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) in December 1998. Megabit is confused with Mebibit which is defined as 1024 Kibibits. The difference between them is that Megabit is a power of 10 number and mebibit power of 2.

Swap, do a megabit (Mb) to bit (b) conversion.
